Reducing EMF Exposure
Fertility & Pregnancy
Bringing new life into this world is an amazing and wonderous experience. However, the gift of creation comes with a hefty share of responsibilities. It is important for prospective parents to be conscious of their health and mental wellbeing to optimize the environment for procreation. Nowadays, many health experts claim that there are health risks for prospective parents to be aware of by using wireless technology. Many studies show increased rates of infertility and miscarriages associated with excessive EMF exposure. In addition, there are laboratory experiments done on pregnant animals that show harmful effects to offspring caused by wireless devices. Now is the time to start taking precautions and reducing EMF exposure from your technology.
6 Easy Tips for Parents
1. Use laptops or tablets at least 12 inches from the body.
Ironically, laptop computers are never meant to be used on your lap. Tablets are not meant for laps either according to the FCC and product manuals. Remember, distance is your friend with any wireless device because the exposure drops off dramatically with every inch of separation.
2. Do not carry or use cellphones against the skin.
Always avoid placing your cellphone pressed against your skin according to the FCC and product manuals. Never carry in your pockets, bra, or sock. Also, use speakerphone or wired headsets when talking on the phone.
3. Avoid wearable smart technology.
Devices like smart watches and Fitbits are convenient, but it’s not recommended to have constant skin contact with wireless devices of any kind. Just because its marketed for health benefits doesn’t mean it’s healthy.
4. Turn off WIFI and Bluetooth in your device settings.
This will help to reduce EMFs coming and going to your wireless devices when you’re not using them. Bluetooth and WIFI signals are separate sources of EMF from your cellphones in addition to the cellular network activity. Turning off devices or turning to Airplane mode is recommended at night or any other times when not expecting calls on your cellphone.
5. Do not use a cellphone with weak signal or in vehicles.
Your phone works harder when the signal is weak, which means more EMFs. It also works harder when riding in vehicles because it you are in a closed metal box. Also, your receiving antenna fluctuates power when changing cell towers while traveling, which also means more EMFs.
6. Minimize the overall use of wireless technology.
The amount of time using your devices is directly correlated to the number of EMFs your exposing yourself to. When away from your devices your brain and body can quickly recover. So, if you’re constantly attached to your devices then there is less time to heal.
